Registered with the Jordanian Ministry of Culture on February 28, 2012, the center is affiliated with the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem through the Patriarchal Vicariate in Amman. It is a non-profit center that contributes to the development of intellectual and media movements within Jordanian society and abroad. The center was officially inaugurated on April 25, 2012.
The Dome: Closely resembles the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, symbolizing the “Catholicity” of the center—meaning “universal”—reflecting its inclusive interest in all churches without exception.
The Columns: Inspired by the columns of Petra, the pink rock city of Jordan and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. They symbolize the deep history of the Kingdom and the rich heritage of Arab Christians in the region.
The Intersection: The meeting point of the dome and the columns represents the dialogue between civilizations and cultures. The core mission of the center is the dialogue of values and the human person—the heart of study and media.
