Since this text describes the Christian Hope Office (مكتب الرجاء المسيحي), which is an official arm of the Church in Jordan, the translation needs to be dignified, professional, and “National Grade.”
Here is the complete English version, organized for your website:
Established in Amman in 2007 by a group of committed lay believers, the Christian Hope Office serves as a supportive arm for the local Church in social, humanitarian, and pastoral work. Operating with the collaboration of both laity and clergy, the office is affiliated with the Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land and works under the direct supervision of the Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan.
The office provides its services to all Christian denominations through structured programs based on carefully studied social and humanitarian needs. Each program is managed by a specialized committee responsible for strategic planning and oversight. The office is run by a full-time executive body operating within institutional administrative and financial governance systems, led by a Board of Directors. We operate with total transparency according to international best practices and high standards.
Our infrastructure is designed to host any initiative that serves the poor and needy across all Christian communities in Jordan. We strive to encourage Christian unity under the principle of “One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.”
The office cooperates and coordinates with various Christian and social entities both within Jordan and abroad. To implement its programs, the office relies on support and in-kind or financial donations from individuals, companies, and supporting institutions.
The Christian Hope Office currently manages and implements the following humanitarian and social programs:
Based on our faith in the vital role of students in their community and Church, this program focuses on building academic capacity and providing a Christian upbringing rooted in spiritual values. The office provides financial support to students in need during their compulsory and secondary education, enrolling them in Christian schools in Jordan and following up on them both spiritually and academically.
Believing that the health of society is linked to the health of the family, this program aims to support families within our parishes to face contemporary challenges. It seeks to strengthen the human and ecclesial fabric, returning families to their spiritual roots to find strength and consolation. We provide developmental, preventative, and remedial services to help families fulfill their mission for future generations.
This program assists inmates across the Kingdom’s correctional centers through periodic visits by clergy and lay volunteers. We provide spiritual, material, and moral support, encouraging inmates to pray and engage with the Holy Bible to find the strength for self-reconciliation and reconciliation with God and others. The program also offers psychological counseling, social services, and legal aid to help inmates transition back into becoming active members of society.
This program supports initiatives targeting children from struggling families, people with special needs, and the care of our elderly. Currently, the program supports the “Lady of the Mount” Children’s Home in Anjara, which hosts underprivileged children. Through the “Ladies Friends of Our Lady of the Mount,” periodic visits are conducted to identify needs and organize fundraising activities to support the children’s physical, educational, health, and spiritual growth.
This program provides essential support to dignified Christian families living in extremely difficult housing conditions. We work to rehabilitate, maintain, and furnish these homes, ensuring that these families can live with dignity in a healthy and safe domestic environment.
