The Finance Committee Office in Jordan serves as the fundamental pillar ensuring the financial and administrative sustainability of all Latin Patriarchate facilities and services. Supported by a specialized team of highly qualified professionals, the Office strives to implement the highest standards of transparency and financial control, while safeguarding church endowments and properties. This guarantees the continuity of its educational, pastoral, and humanitarian mission in service of the local community.

Below is an overview of the team structure and the specific responsibilities of each member:

1. Dr. Mohanad Issa – Financial and Administrative Director

Leads the financial and administrative ecosystem in the Patriarchal Vicariate of Jordan. He oversees strategic policy formulation, major financial decision-making, and ensures alignment between resource management and the Patriarchate’s overarching goals. He is also responsible for the general supervision of various departments and developing administrative systems to optimize performance efficiency.

2. Ms. Majd Qaqish – Financial Reporting & Control (FR&C) Officer

Serves as the cornerstone of internal control, with responsibilities focused on:

  • Technical supervision and comprehensive oversight of all financial operations and treasury activities.

  • Preparing periodic financial reports (monthly and annual) accurately and completely in accordance with international standards.

  • Monitoring variances from the approved budget and providing financial analysis to support decision-making.

3. Mr. Amer Hijazin – Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable (AR & AP) Officer

Manages daily financial flows through:

  • Directing all accounts receivable activities to ensure accurate revenue collection and recording.

  • Auditing and recording accounts payable disbursements and expenses within specified deadlines.

  • Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial records while ensuring compliance with approved policies.

4. Mr. Fadi Sansour – Treasurer & Payroll Officer

Combines cash management with employee benefits processing, with duties including:

  • Overseeing liquidity management, cash outflows, and bank reconciliations.

  • Preparing and processing monthly payroll, including entitlements and deductions in compliance with local laws.

  • Ensuring payment accuracy and compliance with Social Security and Income Tax regulations.

5. Ms. Sally Azer – Reconciliation Officer

Responsible for verifying financial data consistency through:

  • Performing periodic financial reconciliations for banks, suppliers, and clearing accounts.

  • Identifying, analyzing, and resolving financial discrepancies to ensure a complete financial closing process.

  • Preparing receivables and direct expense reports for various projects.

6. Eng. Kareem Hassan – Head of Engineering Department & Project Manager

Oversees the Patriarchate’s infrastructure and real estate assets through:

  • Complete engineering and administrative supervision of capital and construction projects.

  • Evaluating and maintaining real estate assets, ensuring projects are executed within budget and technical specifications.

  • Managing engineering tenders and monitoring contractors to ensure high-quality execution.

7. Mr. Hazem Salman – Procurement Officer

Responsible for securing the Patriarchate’s procurement needs with the highest quality at the optimal cost by:

  • Planning and executing the procurement of goods and services based on integrity and transparency.

  • Establishing and managing vendor relationships, and periodically evaluating their performance.

  • Ensuring procurement aligns with approved budgets to achieve maximum value for money.

8. Mr. Naser Dahmas – Endowments (Waqf) Officer

Tasked with protecting and developing the Patriarchate’s properties through:

  • Direct management of real estate (residential, commercial, and agricultural) and tracking lease agreements.

  • Communicating with tenants, collecting rent, and resolving all property-related issues.

  • Conducting field visits to assess property conditions and ensure tenant compliance with contractual terms.

9. Ms. Jihan Abu Aita – Executive Secretary to the Financial & Administrative Director

Serves as the administrative and organizational hub of the office through:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Financial Director, managing schedules, and handling official correspondence.

  • Coordinating internal and external communications, and managing documents and files with utmost professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Assisting in tracking administrative decisions related to procurement, endowments, and major expenditures.
