Bishop Iyad Twal Presides Over the Mass of First Religious Vows for Three Rosary Sisters on the Feast of the Assumption

His Grace Bishop Iyad Al-Tawal presided over the Divine Liturgy on the feast day of the transfer of the Virgin Mary to heaven in spirit and body, during which the Holy Rosary Sisters celebrated the first pastoral vows of Sister Eliza Al-Halw, Dalin Mubarak, and Sara Shhatit, at the Church of Beit Al-Ziyara.

In his sermon, Bishop Al-Tawal spoke about the message of man and the purpose of his life, calling for emulation of the Virgin Mary in faith, obedience, and submission to God. The three nuns responded to the Lord’s call, affirming that highlighting their vocations on the feast day of the transfer of the Virgin Mary carries a special meaning, as Mary is a role model for them in saying “yes” to God.

He also pointed out that the feast day of the transfer directs the eyes of believers towards eternity, while the first vocations form the starting point for the journey of the nuns, requiring trust, steadfastness, and continued response to the call.
