On Friday, 30 October 2026, His Excellency Bishop Dr. Iyad Twal, Latin Patriarchal Vicar for Jordan, participated in the first session of the second day of the Togetherness Conference in Amman. Organised by the Catholic Center for Studies and Media in cooperation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the conference was held under the theme “Christians of the East: Partners in Building the Future.”
In the session on Christians’ contributions to shaping Jordan’s future, Bishop Twal addressed their role in education, healthcare, culture and public life, as well as ways to strengthen their participation in reform, development and building the future of their countries.
The conference provided a forum for dialogue on the Christian presence in the Middle East and the importance of active participation and cooperation among the different components of society in shaping the region’s future.
